I'm Charles Gastineau, Mayor of the City of Ward, Arkansas and I'd like to welcome you to our "Official" Website. 

The 2020 Census shows Ward as the second largest city in Lonoke County and the 2nd fastest growing community in the Metroplan (central Arkansas) area, with a population of 6,052.  With a growth rate of 4.4% since 2020, we are now the 10th largest city in the region and project our population to be over 9,000 by the 2030 census.  Ward is, by definition, a bedroom community, with most of our working residents commuting to and from work in other cities. It is my commitment to move Ward ForWard, opening new opportunities for businesses and residents alike to find a home in Ward. If you are looking to locate to a growing community that still has that small-town charm, consider making Ward your new home. I encourage all Ward residents to get involved in the community--- volunteer to coach a youth sports team, offer to help with our Parks & Recreation Department, attend a church of your choosing, start a non-profit, or…. open your own business.
