NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

PROPOSED ARDoT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Proposal – Sidewalk Crossing at the Moore Street Railroad Crossing in Ward, Arkansas

Notice is hereby given that the City of Ward will hold a public hearing on April 15, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Ward Municipal Complex Council/Court Room, 405 Hickory St, Ward, AR prior to the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.  The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed project to be presented to The Arkansas State Highway Commission 2025 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and the Recreational Trails Program (RTP).  The project, if approved, will partially fund the Engineering Design to create a sidewalk crossing across the Moore Street Railroad Crossing and down Moore Street to Highway 367 and connect to Spring St.   A map of the proposed project can be found at https://wardarkansas.org/proposed-tap-project.  For additional information, contact Mayor Gastineau at 501-843-7686 or via email at [email protected].  The City of Ward is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
